Overview

With the hype of Farcaster, users started realizing that they need a way to see which tokens are getting traded the most, trades from top Farcaster traders , and much more.

To solve this problem, we built Proxy, a social DEX built on top of the Farcaster social graph and Base chain , providing users with a real-time feed of swaps from top Farcaster traders and people they follow. It features a token launchpad, a token swap feature, an explore section, and a copy-trade mini app to copy trades from users without leaving Farcaster.

My Contributions

I got to contribute to the frontend as well as look after integration with the smart contract and backend alongside other developers. We used Next.js for frontend and APIs, WAGMI for all the contract and other blockchain integration, 0xAPI for the swap feature, Supabase for the database, and Frog.fm for our mini apps.

Real-Time Feed: The first thing we wanted was a way for users to see trades in a socialized way and copy them, so we created a feed with real-time swaps with in-app reply and like features, a friends/following and trending section, along with buttons to copy the trade and share them on Farcaster.

Swap: How can we call it a DEX without a token swap feature? We integrated 0xAPI to enable users to swap their favorite tokens on Base chain . You can also add a note along with your swap .

Trade Points: We have an in-app point system for users to earn points on all their swaps, either from the mini app or our app.

Explore Section: Wouldn't it be great if you could see and perform swaps while also exploring top tokens and pools on Base chain all in one place? For this, we created an explore section where users can see the top tokens and pools on Base chain.

Token Details Page: See the price graph of a token, FDV, Market Cap, TVL, Current Price, your balance, your swaps, and your friends' swaps all in one place with our token details page.

Token Launchpad: Launching a token on Base chain just got easier with our launchpad. You just need to enter the name, ticker, and logo and with just a click, your token is ready. Additionally, users can buy their tokens with ETH as all tokens are locked in a pool. . Claim fees for launched tokens, all in one place.

Copy-Trade Mini App: We also built a copy-trade mini app that you can share on Farcaster for users to copy any trade, you can also change the sell token with your top 3 tokens.

Profile: Lastly, we have a profile section that shows your Farcaster data along with your wallet portfolio and swaps.
