Proxy

Overview

When Farcaster took off, people wanted to know which tokens were being traded the most and what the top Farcaster traders were buying.

So we built Proxy, a social DEX on top of the Farcaster social graph and Base. It shows a live feed of swaps from top traders and the people you follow. It also has a token launchpad, swaps, an explore section and a copy-trade mini app, so you can copy a trade without leaving Farcaster.

My Contributions

I worked on the frontend and on connecting it to the contracts and backend, alongside the rest of the team. We used Next.js for the frontend and APIs, wagmi for contract calls, 0xAPI for swaps, Supabase for the database and Frog.fm for the mini apps.

Real-Time Feed: The first thing we built was a feed of swaps as they happen. You can reply to and like trades, switch between the people you follow and what's trending, and copy a trade or share it on Farcaster with a button.

Swap & Trade Points

Swap: Swaps on Base run through 0xAPI, and you can attach a note to any swap.

Trade Points: Every swap earns points, whether it's made in the app or in the mini app.

Explore

The explore section lists the top tokens and pools on Base, so you can find something and swap it without going anywhere else.

Token Details

Each token has its own page with a price chart, FDV, market cap, TVL and the current price, plus your balance, your swaps and your friends' swaps.

Token Launchpad

To launch a token on Base, you enter a name, ticker and logo, and that's it. Every token is locked in a pool, so people can buy it with ETH, and creators claim the fees from their tokens on one page.

Copy-Trade Mini App

The copy-trade mini app can be shared on Farcaster, and anyone who sees it can copy the trade. You can also pay with one of your top 3 tokens instead of the original sell token.

Profile

Your profile shows your Farcaster info next to your wallet portfolio and your swaps.
