Based Games

Overview

In August 2024, Based Games, a Farcaster-native social game, was played by 200 players divided into eight groups. They participated in daily games for seven days to compete for a final prize pool of over $5,000.

My Contributions

This project was my chance to go all out as a developer. I had to wear multiple hats - from building engaging games to leading the entire development process, ensuring 200 players could battle it out without any hiccups.

I led the development of multiple interactive games like Tetris, Snake, and 3D stack game and Farcaster mini apps for various puzzle games, voting, and results. We used Frog.fm for all our mini apps, Next.js along with WAGMI and RainbowKit for all the interactive games, and Supabase for all the database needs.

Game Development: We built various interactive games like Tetris, Snake, and 3D stack game using React libraries, along with real-time leaderboards to keep players engaged.

Farcaster Integration: We built multiple Farcaster mini apps to check for minting eligibility, for our puzzle games, seamless voting, and on-time results.

Web3 Features: Integrated blockchain functionality with WAGMI and RainbowKit, including message signing to verify NFT ownership, player status and voting.
